About the Isle of Skye

The Isle of Skye is renowned for its spectacular scenery, with the Cuillin range of mountains boasting some of Scotland's most dramatic Munros (peaks over 3000ft). Portree, the capital of the island, is surrounded by short walks and is situated on a beautiful bay.

Skye has many attractions, including the Clan Donald visitor centre in Sleat, Dunvegan Castle, Talisker Distillery and the Aros experience in Portree. Outdoor activities such as sea and loch fishing, pony-trekking, boat trips and guided walks delight many visitors to the island.
